Disposal of laboratory centrifuges
Free disposal from the manufacturer
We at Sigma Laborzentrifugen attach great importance to the environmentally friendly disposal of our laboratory centrifuges.
This is based on the EU Directive 2012/19/EU, which is implemented in Germany by the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). This directive obliges manufacturers to take responsibility for the disposal of their products throughout their life cycle.
In accordance with the WEEE directive, our old equipment is marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. This indicates that these products must not be disposed of with household waste.
In case of disposal, Sigma Laborzentrifugen GmbH will take back the centrifuges.
The user must ensure that the equipment is decontaminated. A declaration of decontamination must be completed and enclosed (see below in the download area).
